Georgia Lands 4-Star Linebacker to Beat Out Alabama, Clemson and Florida
By Michael Luciano

Kirby Smart has proven he's a recruiting wizard several times over at Alabama and Georgia, and his monopoly on the best in-state recruits landed him another stud on the defensive side of the ball.
4-star linebacker Chaz Chambliss, a star at local powerhouse Carrollton High School, committed to Georgia, adding to one of the deepest recruiting classes in both the SEC and all of college football.

Those SEC powers are not going to like seeing Georgia snag another prized linebacker.
Chambliss, who is a Hoover vacuum at the second level with the versatility and pass rush skills to stick in Smart's complex defense, picked Georgia over schools like Alabama, Clemson and Florida. He shouldn't have to wait long to see the field given his production and athletic traits.
Chambliss is the first player that the Bulldogs have landed from Carrollton since wide receiver Reggie Brown, who had several successful seasons at Georgia before being picked in the second round by the Philadelphia Eagles.

Under Smart, the Bulldogs have done a great job of keeping the best high schoolers in Georgia in their home state. Chambliss looks like he could be the next great Georgia linebacker that makes an instant impact on the Bulldogs' defense.
