Georgia Stud OL Cade Mays Reportedly Plans to Transfer Home to Tennessee
By Scott Rogust

The Georgia Bulldogs offensive line group had already lost premium talent via the upcoming NFL Draft. Now, they're losing one via the transfer portal.
Sophomore offensive lineman Cade Mays, a former 5-star signee, reportedly plans to transfer to Tennessee, in what is undoubtedly a big blow for Kirby Smart and his coaching staff.

Mays was a key playmaker for the Bulldogs, starting in 11 games this year and appearing in all 14. As a freshman last season, he earned All-American honors after appearing in 11 games and making seven starts.
Back in 2018, Mays was ranked as the No. 1 prospect from Tennessee, No. 3 offensive tackle and No. 25 overall prospect nationally.

The sophomore is a native of Knoxville. His younger brother Cooper signed his letter of intent with the Volunteers during the Early Signing Period in December. Additionally, their father Kevin was an All-SEC guard for Tennessee back in 1994.
This puts the Bulldogs in quite the bind. The only starting offensive lineman returning next season is center Trey Hill. Andrew Thomas, Solomon Kindley and Isaiah Wilson have all declared for the upcoming NFL Draft.
