Georgia Took 5-Star Cornerback to a Gun Range During His Official Visit
Is this a first for an official recruiting visit? While we don't know the answer to that question, this moment sure stands out -- and will be sure to fire up opposing fanbases.
Ranked a 5-star prospect and the No. 1 cornerback in the country, Kelee Ringo is in Athens this weekend for his official visit with the University of Georgia. On Saturday, he took to social media to share an update depicting himself at a gun range in the middle of his trip. Hey, whatever makes you stand out, right?
Ringo appears to be having a great time, which is all that really matters here. And the Dawgs sure are hoping the weekend trip makes the difference for them.
Ringo has picked up more than 30 offers this cycle, with the likes of UGA, Oregon, Ohio State, Texas, USC and many others making a push to land his services. With the Early Signing Period coming on Wednesday, fans are anxiously waiting to see where he'll end up, though the Bulldogs are considered the favorites.
Before that decision does come, though, let's just hope Ringo stays safe at that gun range! Kirby Smart clearly is pulling out all the stops to win over one of the most coveted prospects left out there.
