Georgia Got Wildly Disrespected in ESPN's 'Running Back U' Rankings

ESPN's hungry for content during this current pause in sporting action, but that doesn't justify making massive omissions in supposedly "thorough" historical rankings.

The worldwide leader got Athens' juices flowing this week when they released a new Twitter graphic asking fans to rank their top QB and RB producers of the BCS era to today.

Great idea! Only one question: Where are the Georgia Bulldogs?

Tennis star and Georgia graduate John Isner was one of many to notice the blatant disrespect shown towards Georgia's stacked running back room. From Nick Chubb, Todd Gurley, and Sony Michel, to the newcomers in Elijah Holyfield and D'Andre Swift, Georgia undoubtedly has featured one of the strongest running back rooms in the country during the entire era mentioned. We really prefer Tre Mason?!

While Herschel Walker may not meet these parameters, the other names make it quite obvious UGA deserved a spot at the table.

Todd Gurley has rushed for over 850 yards every year of his career, including three 1,000-yard seasons since coming into the league. Nick Chubb rushed for just under 1,500 yards last season, and Sony Michel continues to improve, logging two straight 900-yard seasons, and establishing himself as a force to be reckoned with under the guidance of Bill Belichick.

With Swift being projected as potentially the first RB chosen in 2020's draft, Georgia will continue to show the college football world that they are the real Running Back U.
