While captain Popp, who will man the No. 9 striker role, will demand most of the Chinese team's attention, Germany has plenty of talent up and down this roster. Goalie Almuth Schmut is one of the best in the world at her position, as is defender Lena Goeßling and midfielder Sara Däbritz.
Exciting 19-year-old Giulia Gwinn could also be worth watching as a pacy option off of the bench.

1. Giulia Gwinn : 19 yo pacy winger, watch out for her
2. Svenja Huth
A lot will depend on Marozsán, who will look to make amends for the 2015 SF against USA. This side has some inexperienced player but I expect them to reach the semis & top the group pic.twitter.com/CtLLqQWFS1
China will lean on a battle-tested group of veterans. Li Dongna remains the leader, but complementary pieces like PSG midfielder Wang Shuang and the experienced forward partnership of Gu Yasha and Ma Xiaoxu, who have 275 caps and 72 goals between them, could be enough to steal a point or three from the German side.
