VIDEO: Gerrit Cole Played Catch With His Wife Amy and She Actually Has a Cannon
By Scott Rogust

While those across the sports world are staying at home in an attempt to self-quarantine and flatten the curve, backyards aren't off limits. In fact, they're a convenient place to show off the skills of your ENTIRE family, if you're a world-class athlete. New York Yankees ace Gerrit Cole decided to spend sometime outside his home to play some catch with his wife, Amy, and it turns out she has an absolute cannon for an arm.

1. having all the required or desirable elements, qualities, or characteristics; as good as it is possible to be. You guys are perfect @amy_cole23 @GerritCole45 pic.twitter.com/BeVHMz6H2I
This discovery shouldn't come as a shock. Amy played softball at UCLA, where Cole also played collegiately. Additionally, Amy just so happens to be the sister of San Francisco Giants shortstop Brandon Crawford. She's got baseball in her blood.
After Cole signed his record-breaking $324 million contract with the Yankees, the couple announced that they're expecting their first child, a son, in June. So what better way to stay in shape entering the final trimester than a socially-distant game of catch? Especially if you've got a hose.

You best believe that baby Cole is going to have a career in baseball. It runs in the family.
