Giancarlo Stanton Drops Ruthless Quote About What He'd Have Done Under Astros System
By Adam Weinrib

Giancarlo Stanton had a pretty good 2017 season, by all standard metrics. Ripping 59 homers and knocking in 132 runs is a tough stat line to top, even if you have, say, special access to your opponent's game plan.
That being said, though, Stanton himself thinks he could've gone above and beyond his MVP campaign if he'd been a member of the 2017 Astros, putting a pin in Jim Crane's nonsense theory that we can never know if sign-stealing was an offensive benefit.

Counterpoint registered, Giancarlo!
Stanton may be the only Yankee who fans would love to see thinking more about 2017 this season. His 2018 debut in the Bronx was strong, though underwhelming by comparison to the year that came before it. His 2019, pockmarked by injury, was nearly a wash.
The Yankees are plenty intimidating already, but if they can add a dash of '17 Stanton to the mix, they'll be nigh unstoppable.

What do you say, G? Make 'em think you have the signs.
