Thankfully, it looks like this prayer might be answered in Giancarlo Stanton. The left-fielding power hitter had missed the last three games of the series with a quad injury.
But upon seeing his team struggle at the plate, Stanton went to Aaron Boone to demand he play in Game 5 on Friday.

Stanton has been polarizing amongst Yankee fans since he was traded to the team with an enormous contract back in 2017. He's been inconsistent during his short tenure, with much of that being due to injuries. But the fans have high expectations, and often let Stanton know that he's not meeting them no matter the reason.

Well, now it looks like Stanton's critics are going to have to put their hate aside and root for his success. And regardless of how well he performs, we all know anything is better than Edwin Encarnacion out there.
