VIDEO: Giannis Antetokounmpo Appears to Lower Shoulder and Knock Goran Dragic to the Ground
By Karl Rasmussen
Giannis Antetokounmpo hasn't drawn much criticism for his play on or off the floor, from folks not named James Harden that is. But his antics on Monday night probably won't sit well with fans across the NBA. While the Bucks were getting stomped by the Miami Heat, Giannis was running back on defense following a turnover. As Jae Crowder flushed down a dunk, a frustrated Antetokounmpo appears to lower his shoulder into the back of an unsuspecting Goran Dragic, who was sent crashing to the ground.
With the Bucks trailing by 13, Giannis' frustration seems to have gotten the best of him. While Dragic does appear to be drifting into Antetokounmpo's path, Giannis lowered his shoulder and clearly didn't shy away from the contact.
It's certainly worth noting that this all occurred while Bucks point guard George Hill was down on all fours in pain after suffering a blow on the previous possession.
It's been a rough night all around for Giannis, and this lowlight just sums up the evening for the Bucks' superstar.
