Giannis Antetokounmpo Taking Crown From LeBron in Regular Season Game Proves How Soft LBJ Has Become

The Milwaukee Bucks were out to make a statement to the rest of the NBA when they welcomed the Los Angeles Lakers to the Fiserv Forum on Thursday night.

It was a clash of the league's best teams, and Giannis Antetokounmpo and Co. ultimately held off a late surge by LeBron James and Anthony Davis to walk away with a 111-104 victory.

The final score doesn't indicate how much of a blowout this was as the Bucks led by more than double digits practically the entire game. The evident mismatch even prompted the Greek Freak to take LeBron's symbolic crown and place it over his head before a Lakers timeout in the fourth quarter.

Whether James has passed the torch to Giannis yet is a debate for another day, but when did The King become this delicate? Letting another player troll him to this extent is simply something LeBron NEVER would have let happen in his prime.

Even LeBron's most zealous apologists can admit that his renowned flare was nowhere to be found on Thursday night.

This was Giannis' night, and LBJ had no answers.

And no, this isn't an overreaction to a "meaningless" regular season game, either. We're not questioning the man's talent. The LeBron we know and love never would have let Giannis crown himself -- whether it be June or October.

It all proves that James is far from the competitive force he once was.
