Giants Co-Owner Steve Tisch Reveals Team Could Consider Changing GMs After Season
With the disappointment that has been the New York Giants in 2019, it's safe to say that the fans want major changes heading into next season.
Thankfully for them, the ownership looks to be on the same page, as Steve Tisch hints that they may make some front office replacements...that go beyond the head coaching gig.
Tisch talked with Bruce Beck to voice his frustrations with how the 2-10 squad has been playing. And when asked if he believed GM Dave Gettleman and coach Pat Shurmur are capable of leading the franchise, he chose not to answer directly.
Gettleman has made some very questionable moves in the past, such as giving up superstar receiver Odell Beckham Jr. in return for far less than most would accept.
Shurmur also doesn't bring reassurance in any form, based off his lack of success in scheming absolutely anything offensively to emphasize Saquon Barkley. But while we all knew he'd be facing travails this offseason, it wasn't clear, up to this point, that Gettleman was still being evaluated as well.
What the Giants are currently trying to do isn't working, so Tisch indicating major alterations for the franchise is very promising.
