Giants DB Janoris Jenkins Calls Out Fan on Twitter With NSFW Insult After Facing Criticism
By Michael Luciano
The New York Giants were 2-2 once upon a time, but have since lost nine straight games, as their locker room is descending into utter chaos once again. Cornerback Janoris Jenkins, fresh off getting beaten by a Philadelphia Eagles team that had two active wide receivers, took out his rage on a Twitter troll who claimed his production isn't helping the Giants win games. Jenkins' response was...regrettable.
Bluhhh.
With four interceptions on the season, including two in a win over the division-rival Redskins, you'd think that Giants fans would be enthralled with Jenkins' performance on an otherwise lousy defense.
However, Jenkins has drawn the ire of Giants fans for what has been perceived as a poor motor and lack of effort at key times. His legendary phoned-in performance against Blake Jarwin and the Dallas Cowboys is emblematic of what has become a lost season for the Giants.
After this Twitter outburst, Jenkins has all but sealed his ticket out of New York before the team becomes relevant once again. Keeping a declining, aging cornerback on a roster going nowhere fast was already a hard sell, but few Giants fans would be sad to see him go after this nightmare of a season in 2019.
