One of this season's most unlikely studs, Toronto Blue Jays infielder Eric Sogard, could be on the move soon with Farhan Zaidi and the San Francisco Giants appearing to be switching into buyer mode.

The Giants have interest in the 33-year-old Sogard, who will be a free agent at the end of this season.

2019 has been the best offensive season of Sogard's career to date. The diminutive infielder is hitting .299 with 10 home runs. Sogard is a career .247 hitter who came into 2019 with just 11 home runs in his entire career.

Sogard's power may not be guarenteed to translate, but his versatility and defense will, and those traits always have a spot on Bruce Bochy teams.

The Giants might need to fend off the Cubs, however, as they are also in the mix for Sogard's services.

After taking a flier on Sogard, the Blue Jays might be able to turn his career year into a prospect or two. A rare bit of good business of late for Toronto.
