VIDEO: Giants Surprise Teen Cancer Survivor With Tickets to Super Bowl LIV
Folks, we don't mean to get you to tear up right now, but good luck keeping your emotions in check after getting a load of this. With the Super Bowl coming up this weekend, the Chiefs and 49ers are ready to put on a show. One special New York Giants fan will also be making it to Miami for the big game, too, and the story behind his special surprise will warm your heart.
Powerful.
Joshua Rhodes is an 18-year-old cancer survivor. He was once your average 16-year-old youngster who loved playing football, but once doctors discovered that he had a brain tumor, he was forced to hang up his cleats and quit the game.
The Giants learned of his story and sent former first-round pick Dexter Lawrence to meet with him and his family. As you can see in the clip above, Rhodes was overcome with emotion when he found out he'll be going to the big game.
While Rhodes probably wishes the G-Men would be playing for the Lombardi Trophy, he'll surely still have an unreal time this weekend.
And he deserves every minute of it.
