Giants Practice Report Paints Awful Picture of Eli Manning and Daniel Jones
By Brendan Azoff

Well, this is not the first day of mini-camp that either Daniel Jones or Eli Manning envisioned.
Apparently, the two quarterbacks who were supposedly a lock for the starting and backup roles were outplayed by 31-year-old Alex Tanney, by a "wide margin."
Not great days for Eli Manning or Daniel Jones. Both threw INTs in live drills and were inconsistent.

Jones’ highlight was pulling the ball and running on a zone-read. Best QB by a wide margin on Day 1 of minicamp— Alex Tanney. #Giants
If the highlight of their day was a QB rush, it could not have been a pretty day for the two Giants quarterbacks. There has been enough controversy regarding the Giants drafting Jones, especially after the rough season Eli Manning had last year, showing very few glimpses of competence.
And now that we're seeing it in action? Similarly not great!
The #Giants just wrapped up the first 11-on-11 red zone drill. Here’s how it went:

Eli Manning: 0-for-3 with an INT
Daniel Jones: 2-3 with a TD to Cody Latimer.
Jones does appear to have the edge so far in the early reps of mini-camp, but it seems that the starting job is Eli Manning's no matter what happens in these early practices, barring any injuries. The fact that both players are struggling to produce when the defense has yet to get going and everyone is still not at their best has to be a scary thought for Giants fans.
These reports are not promising, and in fact may lead to continued nightmares for Giants fans, who were hoping their team could somehow hang on despite losing Landon Collins and Odell Beckham Jr. in the offseason.
