Giants Reportedly Interviewing Former Cowboys HC Jason Garrett to Be New Offensive Coordinator
From one NFC East power to another? That could be how things go down for Jason Garrett. After being fired by the Dallas Cowboys earlier this month, Garrett is reportedly interviewing with the New York Giants to be the team's new offensive coordinator.
New NYG head coach Joe Judge has a big decision on his hands as to who will run the offense and help Daniel Jones grow in his second year, and he just might entrust the position to the man who helped maximize and develop Tony Romo's skills.
Garrett had been with the Cowboys since 2007, his first year with the team as offensive coordinator. He was then interim head coach in 2010, and served as the full-time HC from 2011-2019.
After countless disappointments with Garrett at the helm, Jerry Jones finally let his contract expire at the end of the season after the Cowboys failed to reach the postseason.
Now with Judge looking for an OC in East Rutherford, Garrett has tossed his hat into the ring.
In 2018 and 2019, Mike Shula served as New York's OC, and reportedly interviewed with Joe Judge to stay on with the organization. However, Judge is looking at other candidates for the position. Garrett, obviously, is now among the most prominent candidates to land the job.
