Over the last several weeks, the San Francisco Giants have turned their season around, winning nine of their last 10, and are just two games out of a Wild Card spot. How did this happen?

Since these Giants are in the thick of the playoff race, they could end up hanging on to lefty ace Madison Bumgarner. If that's the case and they want to give it one more shot with this group, they need to add and bolster some areas on their active roster.

Along with their rotation, the Giants need to add to their offense, particularly in the outfield. So, why not grab former SF outfielder Hunter Pence, who has revitalized his career with the Texas Rangers this season?

The 36-year-old slugger earned his fourth All-Star appearance this year, as he's slashing .290/.347/.575 with 15 home runs and 49 RBI over 61 games. This is by far Pence's best year since 2013, and we all know how beloved he is in the Bay Area.

Of course, there are some important things the Giants have to consider if they want to bring him back. Can Pence stay healthy for the remainder of the year, and can he play the outfield on a daily basis without injuring himself?

While there's still a chance the Giants sell at the deadline, it's hard for this franchise to turn their back on their players who have made them legit playoff contenders, especially since this is manager Bruce Bochy's last year. Stay tuned.
