Giants WR Darius Slayton Shoots His Shot With Kehlani Ahead of 2020 Concert
By Michael Luciano
New York Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton is incredibly keen on getting a ticket to the Kehlani show at MetLife Stadium in September, but he has more on his mind than just music. Slayton seems desperate to meet the rising star singer, and he's even gone out of his way to make his desire known on Twitter.
At this point, all we can say is that we hope it works out for Slayton.
The former Auburn wideout, who quickly established chemistry with rookie quarterback Daniel Jones, vastly outplayed his fifth-round draft position last season, as he piled up 740 yards and eight touchdowns. If he can somehow speak this into existence, Slayton will have put a bow on one of the greatest rookie seasons in Giants history.
Kehlani probably isn't going to see this, but you have to respect Slayton's hustle here. Thousands of guys are probably thinking the same thing, but Slayton at least had the chutzpah to put his feelings out there on Twitter. Hopefully the bold young speed demon's wish is granted.
