Someone Made an Animated GIF of Kobe Bryant's Final Jump Shot
By Karl Rasmussen
Since Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna's tragic passing on Sunday, the basketball world has shown their love and appreciation, paying tribute to the Mamba and the "Mambacita" in every way possible.
Well, one of the latest touching homages to Kobe to date comes in the form of a stylized GIF of the last jumper he ever sank in an NBA game. Quite simply, it's amazing.
This is the GIF personification of a triumphant fist pump.
Kobe's last game as a pro featured him doing what he did best: getting buckets. He finished the game with 60 points on 22 field goals, with the shot featured in the gif being the very, very last he'd make.
Naturally, this shot was a clutch one, too. The final bucket gave the Lakers a late lead with less than a minute to play in the game, and he followed it up by dropping in a pair of free throws to stick a dagger into the Jazz.
This shot symbolized Kobe's attacking prowess to the very end, as he boasted one of the deadliest mid-range games in NBA history -- and no moment was too big for him. He'll live on forever in various ways, and this Purple and Gold GIF will only help that cause.
