VIDEO: Gilbert Burns Floors Demian Maia With Vicious Left Hook at UFC Fight Night Brazil

The UFC is one of the few sporting organizations around the world to not cancel its events, as UFC Fight Night Brazil took place as planned on Saturday. As a precaution there were no fans in the arena, but Gilbert Burns still gave supporters at home a thrill when he knocked down Demian Maia with a vicious shot to the jaw. Burns then pounced on Maia and the fight was over within seconds.

Maia left his head completely exposed and Burns took advantage. The fight probably should have been called there but Burns got a few more vicious shots in before the ref finally said enough. He almost looked like he felt bad for laying it on the defenseless fighter before the bout was officially called.

The eerie part of the clip is the lack of cheers when Maia goes down. That is just what the new normal will be for awhile in sports that actually continue to take place. The lack of fans did not stop Burns from giving it his all and picking up a huge win.
