Justice has finally been served for Gleyber Torres.

After being robbed twice of a trip to Cleveland, New York Yankees infielder Gleyber Torres has been named to the AL All-Star team in place of the injured Tampa Bay Rays infielder Brandon Lowe.

Lowe, who was named to the squad as one of three injury replacements on Wednesday, was placed on the 10-day injured list with a right shin contusion.

That's right, it took an injury of the injury replacement for Tommy La Stella for Torres to make the team. The initial selection of Lowe over Torres drew criticism from across the baseball world, including from Yankees manager Aaron Boone.

He's been criminally underrated this year. Torres is slashing .298/.365/.543 with a 136 wRC+ and 2.6 fWAR. His 19 home runs are the most among AL second baseman. It's shameful that it took this long for him to make the team. He should have been a starter to begin with.

This marks the second straight All-Star Game appearance for Torres, who earned his first in the middle of a strong rookie campaign last year. He'll join teammates DJ LeMahieu, Gary Sanchez and Aroldis Chapman in Cleveland as they try to take down the NL side on July 9.
