Gleyber Torres Nurses Sore Shoulder for Second Straight Game in Didi Gregorius' Return to Yankees

The big news coming from the New York Yankees on Friday is the return of shortstop Didi Gregorius, who has missed all season to this point after undergoing Tommy John surgery in the fall.

Gregorius' presence is a welcome site, but it'll be a constant question for the rest of the year over which other sterling Yankee will get the day off to accommodate him. Friday night against the Cleveland Indians, Gleyber Torres will get his second straight day off, nursing a sore shoulder that Aaron Boone warned us about.

With Torres riding the bench tonight, you have DJ LeMahieu starting at second base and leading off, and Gio Urshela getting the start at the hot corner and batting eighth (in a return to Cleveland). Gregorius will bat fifth and man shortstop.

The rest of the lineup is similar to what New York has been rolling out, as Luke Voit will start at first and bat third with catcher Gary Sanchez behind him in the cleanup spot. Aaron Hicks, Clint Frazier and Brett Gardner is the trio in the Yankee outfield.

Obviously, LeMahieu has played himself into a starting role, no matter the infield position. But the longer Torres sits nursing this shoulder issue, the more Yankee fans will start to fret.
