Goodbyes are never easy for anyone. Just tell that to veteran wide receiver Golden Tate, who was released by the New York Giants on Wednesday after spending the past two campaigns with the NFC East squad.

You can tell just how difficult this is for Tate, as he took to Twitter to post an emotional goodbye to the fans.

As you can see from Tate's post, this really isn't easy for him. In his two years with the organization, the speedy wideout hauled in 84 balls for 1,064 yards and eight touchdowns. Now, Tate is a free agent and he'll be available to sign with anyone he wants.

While he may no longer be in the prime of his career, Tate still has plenty left in the tank and could make an impact with a new team. We'll find out down the road, perhaps in the near future, where he suits up next.
