Golden Tate Takes Parting Shot at 'Backup' Jourdan Lewis After Constant Trash Talk on MNF
By Mark Powell
Let the record show that Jourdan Lewis scored more touchdowns than Golden Tate on Monday night.
Yet, Tate is still talking following the Giants loss to the Cowboys. The game was a chippy one, with both sides talking plenty of smack and getting into a few near-fights towards the end of the fourth quarter.
On Tuesday, Tate took the beef to Twitter, subtweeting the likes of Lewis.
Is Tate sure he wants to go there?
The veteran wideout is now 1-6 in his career against Dallas, and was mostly neutralized outside of one acrobatic catch early in the Meadowlands. Lewis, on the other hand, returned a fumble for a touchdown late in the contest to secure the result. That battle doesn't sound so one-sided to me.
Frankly, the Giants were overmatched against Dallas, and their defeat was only a matter of time. Chirping on Twitter is all Tate really has at this juncture, with New York sitting on the outside looking in at the NFC playoff picture.
Hope he enjoys it while he can.
