Google Thinks the Red Sox Are Still World Series Champions And We Must've Been Dreaming
By Mark Powell
Either way, this ends badly for Astros fans.
Despite the Washington Nationals winning their first World Series in franchise history, google has yet to recognize their feat. Rather, the Boston Red Sox are still listed as baseball's most recent champion for reasons beyond our comprehension.
Sorry, Boston fans, this gaffe is unlikely to last too much longer. You can blame me for snitching.
Hell, let's give the Nats this one. They've waited decades for this, and the greatest search engine the internet has to offer ought to recognize their accomplishment, at least before DC sports goes another 26 years without winning squat.
Thankfully, google flaw or not, the DC sports curse was ended by the Caps two summers ago as they won the Stanley Cup over the Vegas Golden Knights. Still, we wouldn't blame Nats fans for being a little sensitive with this one.
As for Boston, maybe this adds a nice reprieve before a stressful offseason ahead.
