It's Scary the Packers Are 3-0 and Aaron Rodgers is Far From Satisfied With His Performance
By Jerry Trotta
Through three weeks of the 2019 NFL season, there's been much discussion about the Green Bay Packers' underwhelming display on the offensive side of the ball.
It's palpable that Aaron Rodgers and Co. are struggling to gel and develop a consistent rhythm. But, despite all of that noise, the Pack are 3-0 and sit atop the NFC North, riding a destructive defense to repeated victories.
If that narrative (and room for growth) doesn't strike fear into the hearts of the other 31 teams, we don't know what will.
Green Bay has logged just 64 points on the scoreboard through three contests, good for a 21.4 per game average. That's a tally well below the standards of a Rodgers-led offense.
The two-time MVP has thrown for just 647 yards -- the second-lowest total of his career through three weeks -- and four touchdowns, while ranking 16th in the league in total QBR with a 47.6 mark. His 57 completions thus far also rank as his lowest career tally through three games since 2009.
The Packers boast a world-beating defense for the first time since we can remember, but Rodgers, given his all-time great standards, is clearly fed up with having to be repeatedly bailed out by his D.
To think that the Pack are 3-0 in spite of those narratives is utterly terrifying when you think of just how good they could be when the offense starts clicking. And be honest with yourselves: a team with Rodgers under center, and the same weapons he's had in successful years past, is bound to start lighting up the scoreboard.
