VIDEO: Gronk Made His WWE SmackDown Debut in the Most Gronk Way Possible
By Jerry Trotta
After months of rumors and speculation, former Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski signed a contract with the WWE. Well, it didn't take long for the 30-year-old former NFL star to hit the ground running with the professional wrestling organization. Gronk made his much-anticipated debut for the WWE on Friday night. Even though it was in an empty arena, his introduction was about as electric as you'd expect.
Is this the first we've seen from the "GronkMania" mantra? It appears this will be Gronkowski's go-to slogan in his new career in the WWE.
It was always expected that the four-time All-Pro would pursue a SmackDown career, but it's truly surreal to see him sashay his way into the ring for the first time, let alone in an empty arena.
If this is how maniacal Gronk is with no fans in the stands, we honestly can't wait for the show he puts on when the COVID-19 pandemic is behind us and supporters are back feeding off the energy of the newest WWE superstar.
