VIDEO: Hank Aaron Destroys Cheaters From Astros Scandal and Claims They Should All Be Banned From MLB
By Brendan Balsamo
Everybody has been giving their opinion on the Houston Astros sign-stealing controversy. From fans, to current MLB players, to former players, there seems to be a common sentiment of anger towards those who tarnished the game with their actions. Hall-of-Famer and prolific home run hitter Hank Aaron finally spoke out on it on the topic in an interview with NBC.
Yes, the old-school Aaron said that he believes the punishment did not fit the crime whatsoever. "I think whoever did that should be out of baseball the rest of their life," he told interviewer Craig Melvin.
Aaron is one of the most highly respected individuals around the game of baseball today. In his 23-year career, he accumulated over 3,700 hits and 755 home runs, then the MLB record, without stealing signs electronically. His opinion is not to be taken lightly, as he's been around the game since his debut in 1954.
Many others around baseball share the same opinion. Ban the culprits from the game forever.
