Hank Haney Fires Back at Tiger Woods Over Suspension Comments With Incredibly Snarky Tweet

After Tiger Woods criticized him following insensitive comments about LPGA golfers, Hank Haney, Tiger's former swing coach, came back on Twitter loaded with some snark. Lost with all that snark, however, was any sort of substance.

Rather than continue apologizing for his controversial comments, Haney chose to dig his hole even deeper by going after Woods' character and defending his own.

We all know Tiger's history. He is by no means perfect or a saint, but Haney is totally missing the point here.

Haney, who has since been suspended from his Sirius XM show, was roundly maligned for predicting that "a Korean" would be the US Women's Open champion.

“I’m gonna predict a Korean,” Haney said. "I couldn’t name you, like, six players on the LPGA Tour. Nah, maybe I could. Well, I’d go with Lee. If I didn’t have to name a first name, I’d get a bunch of them right."

Woods fired back at his former swing coach, with whom he piled up 31 PGA Tour wins and six major wins, by saying Haney "got what he deserved."

While Haney is trying to set up a glass houses scenario with Woods that he believes will finally end all the controversy, he's failed to take responsibility for these actions save for a copy/paste apology. As long as Haney continues his masterclass in how not to do crisis PR, this issue isn't going away.
