Hawks Get Positive Injury Update on Star PG Trae Young After Recent Scare
By Michael Luciano
The entire state of Georgia just broke out in a cold sweat, as budding superstar point guard Trae Young went down in a crumbled heap after injuring his ankle in the middle of a breakout season for the former Oklahoma Sooner.
While the initial prognosis was not very good and extremely concerning, the Atlanta Hawks point guard's ankle is feeling much better today, and he is not expected to miss more than a week of action.
Young is averaging 26.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 7.3 assists this season. Those numbers look even more impressive for Young when you consider that he only scored five points in 11 minutes against the Miami Heat.
The Hawks are off to a high-flying start with Young at the center of it all, and any extended period of time without him could be a death blow.
However, a positive injury prognosis means Young won't have to miss significant time. Atlanta will have to patch together a decent run until their star can return to the court.
