Heartwarming Story of Los Angeles Florist's Kind Gesture for Kobe Bryant Memorial Goes Viral
By Adam Weinrib

Kobe Bryant could not have given more to the city of Los Angeles during his 20 years in power as a Laker, and the four hustle-packed post-career years he'd already produced prior to his tragic death on Sunday.
But the city will never forget him -- and we're talking all corners of it.
That eternal impact was perfectly summarized by one touching story a sports media personality shared about his experience memorializing Kobe on Sunday afternoon.
Bought flowers to bring to staples center. When the florist saw that I wanted purple and yellow she asked, “for Kobe?” I nodded. When she finished I asked what I owed her. she shook her head, handed me the flowers and said “it’s LA”. I almost cried. LAs love for Kobe is powerful

Kobe Bryant's name will hold reverence in this city for years, decades, and centuries, and this florist knew she was simply paying forward what he'd given to her and her fellow Angelinos over the years.
Little did she know, however, that her kind gesture would be broadcast on social media and swiftly go viral.

The mourning area that surrounds Staples Center was clogged with Grammy attendees and other high-echelon Hollywood celebrities on Sunday night, leading to a strange vibe for all Laker fans who made the pilgrimage.
Monday, however, you can bet that the celebration of Bryant's life continues unabated, and that flowers will be free in the surrounding area, as long as they come in the correct shade.
