It looks like things will be staying the same in South Beach for quite some time.
Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra has reportedly agreed to a long-term contract extension on Saturday. The terms of the deal are not yet known, however.

Spoelstra is entering his 12th season as Miami's head coach with one final year left on his deal, so the timing of this makes perfect sense, especially if the franchise has faith in him to lead a new era of Heat basketball.
After all, you don't leave a two-time champion as a lame duck coach.

Over the previous 11 years, Spoelstra has a 523-363 record with eight postseason appearances, including four Finals appearances and two titles.
The 48-year-old has spent his entire coaching career with the Heat, starting in the video room and working his way up the ladder where he replaced legendary coach Pat Riley in 2008.
He's become well-respected as any, so it's likely his new contract will reflect that.
