Heat Reportedly Enter Andre Iguodala Sweepstakes Ahead of NBA Trade Deadline
By Jerry Trotta

Given the contempt that the Memphis Grizzlies' young core has developed for Andre Iguodala during his holdout in pursuit of being dealt at the Feb. 6 trade deadline, it would seriously behoove the organization to offload the 36-year-old.
Lucky for them, a swarm of suitors are lining up with offers for Iguodala, and a new contender in the East has emerged as the latest to inquire about the three-time champion.
According to NBA insider Shams Charania, the Miami Heat have held discussions with the Grizzlies about sending Iggy to South Beach.

As has been the case the entire season with the Arizona product, this rumor doesn't come without controversy. Shams notes that Iguodala might not fancy a move to the Heat, simply because he's told member of his inner circle that he'd prefer being dealt to a team on the West Coast.
For those curious, Iguodala currently resides in Northern California.

The Heat, like the other reported suitors, are clearly enticed by the fact that Iguodala would provide fresh legs roughly 50 games into the season. More importantly, Miami can afford to take his $17.2 million salary on the chin.
On paper, it's a tremendous fit, and the Heat even flaunt the draft capital that Memphis is reportedly seeking in return.
At this rate, we'd be stunned if the Grizzlies aren't able to unload Iguodala within the next 48 hours.
