Hector Neris is a Fraud for Yelling at Dodgers Dugout Despite Past Failures

Can we all agree that only baseball's elite players are permitted to trash talk on the diamond (since they can back it up)? When low-profile jocks take part in such actions, we truly can do nothing but roll our eyes.

That's exactly the case with Philadelphia Phillies' closer Hector Neris, whom most would agree has failed to establish himself as the leader of the bullpen (despite being given ample opportunities do to so).

After surrendering a ninth-inning homer, but still recording a save for the Phils against the Dodgers on Thursday, the 30-year-old directed a clear as day F-bomb towards the Los Angeles dugout (oh, and by the way, he's currently appealing a suspension).

Is this dude serious? We get that the adrenaline rush upon winning a big game is indescribable, but Neris has had significant struggles closing out contests against the Dodgers in the past.

And one particular Twitter user made sure to point out one of Hector's most memorable implosions back in 2017 where he conceded three consecutive big flies in the ninth frame when Philly had a 5-2 lead.

Coming into Thursday, Neris was 0-2 with an 8.49 ERA and 2.14 WHIP in 12 career appearances against LA, not to mention he was just suspended three games for throwing at Dodgers infielder David Freese on Wednesday.

If these actions don't scream out the term "fraud," we don't know what does. Get it together, man.
