The New Orleans Saints have been firing on all cylinders of late, winning five of their last six games amid their hunt to lock up a first-round bye in the NFC Playoff bracket.

With a couple of variables needing to go in their favor in order to do so thanks to a tiebreaker loss to the San Francisco 49ers, the Saints will need a bit of good fortune if they hope to earn a bye.

If Drew Brees and Co. hope to have next weekend off, they're most likely going to need a victory in their contest against the Panthers, as they would then be relying on losses and/or ties by both San Francisco and Green Bay.

With the 49ers facing off with the 11-4 Seahawks, a San Francisco loss may be New Orleans' best hope to clinch a bye week, as the Packers take on the three-win Lions.

With a strong showing on Sunday combined with a little bit of luck, the Saints may very well avoid the Wild Card round once again. With the fearsome Vikings and Seahawks locked into the two Wild Card seeds, Saints fans will be rooting heavily for Seattle and Detroit this weekend.
