Herm Edwards Hires Marvin Lewis to Join Arizona State Football Staff
By Will Fowler
After a 16-year head coaching career with the Cincinnati Bengals, it appears Marvin Lewis won't have to live unemployed for long.
The Arizona State Sun Devils have brought Lewis on as a special advisor, pairing him with ASU head coach and press conference legend Herm Edwards.
In his first season as the Sun Devils' head coach, Edwards led Arizona State to a 7-6 record, squeaking into bowl game qualification. They were matched up with the Fresno State Bulldogs in the Las Vegas Bowl where they fell, 31-20.
Lewis brings plenty of experience to the Sun Devil. Prior to his stint with the Bengals, he had spent time as an assistant with the Steelers, Ravens, and Redskins, along with a number of collegiate programs.
Lewis is a coaching veteran with NFL experience, and he may be just the person that Herm Edwards needs to bring the Sun Devils back into the national conversation.
