High School Photo of Giancarlo Stanton Proves He's Always Looked Exactly the Same
By Scott Rogust
It's been approximately a month since the majority of the world has been embracing stay-at-home orders in response to the coronavirus pandemic. Non-essential businesses are shut down until testing becomes much more prevalent and new cases dwindle, which means barbershops and hair salons are closed until further notice. Many are beginning to realize that they desperately need a haircut, but have the choice of either doing the deed themselves or letting that mane grow out.
New York Yankees slugger Giancarlo Stanton might classify himself in the latter category, as he posted a photo of himself back in his high school football days on his official Instagram page. And to be honest, Stanton looked the same back then as he does now.
Well, except for that afro.
"All this time without a cut, I might have to bring the Afro back," writes Stanton.
It's incredible how similar Stanton looked during his football days at Verdugo Hills High School in the Tujunga community of Los Angeles. Obviously, this was well before the future NL MVP seriously began earning the gains he has right now and getting skin fades from his personal barber. But hey, it's the same guy!
Stanton's caption is spot on. By the time the world is able to return to normalcy, the Yankees slugger will walk out of his residence with some long hair, and he won't be the only one.
