Highly-Touted 4-Star WR Commits to Texas

Talk about a MONSTER recruiting win for Tom Herman and the Texas Longhorns. Throughout his recruitment process, 4-star wide receiver Quentin Johnson sure has received plenty of attention.
However, on Saturday, the 6-4, 180-pounder decided to shut things down and gave his verbal pledge to Texas.

Ranked the No. 19 WR in the country, Johnson had offers from Texas, BYU, Duke, Arizona, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Houston, Notre Dame and others.
Ultimately, though, Texas was able to win this big-time recruiting battle to land Johnson's services. In addition to being the No. 19 WR in the land, Johnson is also the No. 124 overall play according to 247Sports.
Temple WR Quentin Johnson has a top four of Baylor, TCU, Texas, and Oklahoma. He’s not sure when he’s going to make his decision, but he’s going to (finally) create some social media to do it. A homie feel and a good business school will be big factors in that choice. #HookEm pic.twitter.com/EiAOmiRwhA

Johnson was down to Baylor, Texas, TCU and Oklahoma, but the Longhorns staff clearly won him over and was able to come out on top.
A class of 2020, product, Johnson is expected to sign his National Letter of Intent in December. This is a major get for Texas.
