Josh Gordon's presence in a respectable Seahawks receiving corps seemed like an embarrassment of riches, and now Seattle is forced to deal with the unfortunately reality of employing the troubled wide receiver.
We're all rooting for Gordon to get his life back on track, but at this point, his off-field activities can no longer be coined as happenstance.
Gordon's been suspended five times by the NFL for violating the substance abuse policy (six times overall), and it's unknown exactly how many chances he has remaining at this juncture.

Why Was Josh Gordon Suspended?
Gordon was suspended for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy, which is pretty black and white in terms of what is legal (and not) under the bargaining agreement. For anyone interested in reading the document in full, you're in luck.
Josh Gordon was suspended indefinitely for violating substance abuse policy Dec. 20, 2018.

Gordon's issues go far beyond the playing field, and while both the Patriots and now Seahawks have aimed to give him a stable occupation in the game he loves, it's possible that his flaws are far darker than either franchise realized when they brought him on board.
We wish Gordon the best moving forward, whether he is employed by the NFL or merely a private citizen.
