If Broncos Place Joe Flacco on IR They're Completely Screwed
Things are going from bad to nightmarish for John Elway and the Denver Broncos. It was announced earlier this week Joe Flacco was dealing with a neck injury, but it didn't appear to be too serious.
However, news broke Tuesday morning suggesting that Flacco could be out for 5-6 weeks and be placed on injured reserve.
And if that's the case, the Broncos are in BIG trouble.
With Flacco possibly going on IR, it puts the Broncos in a horrible situation under center. None of the remaining QBs on the roster have ever taken an NFL snap during the regular season.
The Broncos play the woeful Browns this weekend, but imagine a young QB trying to focus on making plays when he has Myles Garrett breathing down his neck? Yikes.
While Flacco's career isn't in jeopardy, his time with the Broncos sure is. Will Elway keep him around or just cut his losses and release him sooner than later?
On the year, Denver is 2-6 with Flacco leading the offense and if he misses the rest of the year, expect the Broncos to move forward with a younger option that could provide a spark.
