If the Jets Trade Le'Veon Bell it Means Adam Gase is Definitely Staying Another Year

NFL teams have until 4:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday to make some moves ahead of the trade deadline, and one team expected to be particularly active on the market is the New York Jets.

Reports emerged early Tuesday that the Jets are looking to trade running back Le'Veon Bell, less than a full season after signing him to a lucrative four-year deal.

Nobody thought the Jets would overthrow the New England Patriots in the AFC East, but beginning the year 1-6 and looking so inept on the offensive side of the ball, especially under offensively-minded head coach Adam Gase, is a major disappointment.

People are already calling for Gase's job, even though it's his first season with the team, but if the Jets do move Bell, it's a sign they are going to keep Gase around even longer.

That's seems ridiculous, but Gase is the same guy who didn't even want Bell on the Jets to begin with.

While trading Bell and continuing to build for the future may be the best move for the Jets, the team's willingness to listen to offers for the 27-year-old suggests that Gase will remain with the team going forward.
