Incredible Stat Puts Max Scherzer's Ridiculous Run in Perspective
By Jared Kish

Max Scherzer has been arguably the most dominant pitcher in all of baseball of late. In the month of June, Scherzer made six starts, going 6-0 with a 1.00 ERA and struck out 68 batters in 45 innings. He also broke his nose while practicing bunts in BP and came back the next day and threw seven shutout innings.
Scherzer is one of the best pitchers the game has to offer and with this stat, his dominance comes into perspective as to just how good he is.

The Atlanta Braves as a pitching staff and Scherzer are currently tied in pitching fWAR at 5.1. To put that in perspective, Scherzer is second in the league in pitching WAR coming in behind Mike Minor who is at 5.7. Atlanta also leads the NL East division by 5.5 games, which also adds to the fact that Scherzer is just dominant as he is tied with a first place team in fWAR.

Scherzer is truly doing something magical on the mound. The man is a machine and is consistently tearing up MLB lineups. Scherzer's dominant run is impressive to say the least and it is a joy to watch him pitch.
