It's official. The Cleveland Indians will have one of their best players ready to go for the stretch run.

On Tuesday, the Indians activated star third baseman Jose Ramirez from the injured list.

Back in late August the Indians placed Ramirez on the IL with a fractured hand that required surgery. It appeared his season was over after going under the knife, but Ramirez has recovered quickly and is back for the Indians at an important time, as they are just a half-game back of the second Wild Card spot.

With the way he was hitting before suffering the fractured hamate bone, this is a huge addition. Since the All-Star break, Ramirez has slashed .327/.363/.705 with 13 home runs, 40 RBI and 6 stolen bases.

Cleveland needs that kind of production if they want to make the playoffs, but we'll have to wait and see if he can regain that form in the final week to help the Indians clinch a postseason berth.
