After slashing .253/.329/.441 with 21 home runs and 69 RBI with the Seattle Mariners in 2019, Domingo Santana is still on the free agent market looking to be picked up. It looks like he has found a home now, though.

According to Yancen Pujols from the Dominican Republic, Santana has signed with the Cleveland Indians on a deal worth just over $1 million.

In a six year career in the bigs, Santana has played for the Houston Astros and Milwaukee Brewers along with the Mariners. His best season came with the Brew Crew in 2017, a season in which he hit .278 with 30 home runs and 85 RBI. Entering his age 27 season, Santana is still young for having been in the league since 2014.

This could be a great move for the Indians. They are looking for a replacement corner outfielder after dealing Yasiel Puig to the Cincinnati Reds last season, and Santana could be a low risk, high reward type of player.

Santana is one of the better players remaining on the free agent market, and could be a solid addition at this point in the offseason for Cleveland.
