Indians pitcher Mike Clevinger might have just gotten the coolest tattoo out of anyone in the MLB: a detailed portrait of Jimi Hendrix on his pointer finger.

The pitcher recently revealed the new tat on his Instagram. He showed the beautiful close up detail and how it can be uniquely shown when he pops it out of his glove.

The tattoo was done by an artist named Humberto Beltran. The stoic details of Hendrix's face are perfectly captured. Batters might even be able to notice it at home plate.

Perhaps Clevinger could even use it as a distraction tactic when he gets back to the mound. He is currently recovering from an upper-back injury but has progressed through his rehab and should return in June.

Clevinger was stellar in his limited playing time before he was injured. He had pitched just 12 innings but had given up just two hits and no runs. The 28 year old will be happy to get back on the mound soon sport his brand new tat.
