Indians Place Jordan Luplow on Injured List and Recall Greg Allen
By Parker White

Terry Francona's outfield depth is taking a bit of a hit.
On Tuesday, the Cleveland Indians placed outfielder Jordan Luplow on the 10-day injured list with a right hamstring strain. To take his spot on the active roster, the Indians have recalled outfielder Greg Allen.

The Indians acquired Luplow from the Pittsburgh Pirates last November, and in 69 games this season for the Tribe he's slashing .271/.347/.510 with 11 home runs and 29 RBI.
This is a tough injury for Cleveland, who have won 10 of their last 15 games and are just four games behind the Minnesota Twins in the AL Central.
Bad news for Jordan Luplow. The Indians placed him on the injured list with a right hamstring strain. He suffered the injury sliding into third base in last night’s loss to Texas. Greg Allen has been recalled from Triple-A

Cleveland just optioned Allen down to Triple-A Columbus to make room for the recently acquired outfielders Franmil Reyes and Yasiel Puig. In 45 games (113 at-bats) with the big league club, Allen has slashed .230/.296/.381 with two home runs and 17 RBI.
The good news is that Allen has plenty of experience with the Tribe at the MLB level, so hopefully the outfield unit won't miss a beat.
