Royals Lineup
Whit Merrifield will lead things off for the Royals. The MLB All-Star has been productive to say the least, sporting a .306 BA with 12 homers and 51 RBI. Alex Gordon will bat after Merrifield, followed by Hunter Dozier, Jorge Soler, and Cheslor Cuthbert. Soler has been hot as of late, batting .318 with 4 long balls and 13 RBI in his last 15 games.
Mike Montgomery will draw the start for Kansas City. The veteran lefty had an outing to forget in his only start of the season, allowing 5 runs on 6 hits while collecting only 1 strikeout in 2.0 innings of work.
Indians Lineup
Francisco Lindor will come to bat first for the Tribe, followed by Oscar Mercado, Carlos Santana, and Jordan Luplow. Lindor has been seeing the ball well recently, hitting .333, 1 home run, 5 RBI, and 2 stolen bases in his last seven contests. The red-hot José Ramírez will bat fifth, who has recorded hits in a third of his at-bats along with 3 homers and 14 RBI over his last 15 games.
Adam Plutko will pitch for Cleveland. The 27-year-old currently owns a 4.81 ERA with only 31 strikeouts and a 1.09 WHIP.
