Injured Jets LB Avery Williamson Went Grocery Shopping in His Uniform
By Michael Luciano
Some guys just can't get out of work mode when they're at home, and Avery Williamson is one of those people. The injured New York Jets linebacker will be watching the Jets play Dwayne Haskins and the Washington Redskins from his couch at home, but not before picking up some snacks beforehand. The only unusual thing about Williamson's grocery trip is the fact that he went dressed in full battle regalia, complete with helmet and pads.
Williamson hasn't played a snap this season after he was ruled out for the year following an ACL injury during a preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons.
Jets fans had planned to see him and CJ Mosley in the middle with rookie Blake Cashman backing them up. Instead, injuries have forced James Burgess and Frankie Luvu into the starting lineup.
Jets fans have to wait until 2020 until their charismatic, passionate linebacker is back in the starting lineup. Until then, funny pictures will have to suffice.
