VIDEO: Celebrate the 6th Anniversary of Chris Davis' Amazing 'Kick 6' That Won the Iron Bowl

Alabama and Auburn are set to renew their bitter rivalry Saturday afternoon when the 2019 edition of the Iron Bowl gets underway at 3:30 p.m. ET. As with every year, both teams will try to etch their names into the record books with a famous victory that puts an exclamation point on the regular season. They'll have a tough time surpassing the drama of past games, though, with Chris Davis' legendary "Kick Six," which won the Iron Bowl for the Tigers six years ago today, being the greatest of all.
Davis followed his blockers and was rewarded with open swaths of turf and a spot in history, and nothing quite beats the late, great Rod Bramblett's impassioned hometown radio call.
Six years and six points later, it still stands out as one of the most improbable plays not just at the collegiate level, but in football as a whole.
There's simply nothing like it, all things considered, and there likely never will be. It was 109 return-yards of glory capped off by a walk-off touchdown that put an end to then-No. 1 Alabama's undefeated season.
Neither team enters play on Saturday as strong as they did six years ago, which might diminishes this year's drama just a tad. However, that doesn't take away from the pure excitement of one of the greatest plays in recent sports history, one that will surely live on forever.
