It's Been 1 Steelers Preseason Game and We're Already Qualified to Hype up Devin Bush
By Ryan Giglio
The few weeks between the preseason and regular season is filled with excitement and anticipation for football fans.
One way in which fans express these emotions are by overreacting to performances by players in primarily meaningless preseason football games.
So, like it's an annual tradition, let's freak out about how great Pittsburgh Steelers rookie Devin Bush will be after Thursday's game alone. In limited action, Bush was dominant for the Steel City against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, recording 10 tackles, including an impresive stop on 4th and inches.
Bush started the game for Pittsburgh and is expected to be a starter come opening day. Many thought that the Steelers found the replacement to injured Ryan Shazier when they moved up to select Michigan's Bush with the 10th overall pick in April's draft.
It was incredibly tough to miss Bush when watching the game, as the linebacker was all over the field making an impact in various ways. He displayed his speed and awareness when making the 4th-down stop, but bush also showed his ability to over the pass.
Bush's strength and explosiveness was also seen when running through a Tampa lineman
News surrounding Bush has been nothing but positive since the spring. The Steelers will hope that Bush can be enough of a difference-maker on defense to help the team get back to the playoffs.
